My Precious...
I lost my Jap-Eng electronic dictionary almost a month ago and all the efforts of trying to find it have failed.... I'm sure I left it somewhere in NUS while I was trying to do a writeup in Japanese for the scholarship application... It's an extremely old model... big and clunky, nothing like the slim babes that is on sale now... It's cover is full of scratches and even has green mould on it. I don't know which idiot would wanna take it. No luck in the library and no luck in the computer lab which I thought I misplaced the dictionary.
It cost me almost 300 bucks when I bought it like 6 years ago, it's still functioning wonderfully, just feel a bit sad that I lost it. I do hope it decides to malfunction on the person who picked it up and refused to return it to the lost and found counter. Machines aren't as loyal as dogs, but I hope that it's reached it's lifespan and decides to disintegrate and explode on the new user. But what's worse is that I had to finish the write up without a dictionary, and when my Japanese friend checked the essay for me, she had a good laugh over it. But it's cool, I laugh at her english essays all the time.
Good thing she's going back for 10 days, can lompang her to buy a new, sleek, slimmer, chioer model for me. 16,000 yen, damn it, that's almost 220 bucks. Luckily I still have like 12,000 yen cash left over in my drawer, which I happily passed to her, and my Japanese ATM card, which has only 10,000 yen left in the account. Enough for her to get a new dictionary for me. No Singapore dollars burnt... that's the most important thing.
Finally, a temp job from july 4th till school starts, get some $$ back... I hope my trip to Penang with Alvin to visit a friend and our 25 outing to Batam is still on though....
YX's blog started me thinking about friendships... We hang out in a decently big group, bound by the love of the beautiful game, but I can't say that I know all of us very well, in fact, I don't really think I know any of us very well... really close friends are actually people I know more on an individual basis, which means we usually have no choice, but to go out in 2s. But I'm pretty sure when anyone in our group runs into any trouble, or has any event worth a celebration, most of us would be there for him.
While outside with my friend, I saw a stray cat, and we started talking about pets. My cousin is the "king of dogs". He has a Siberian Husky, an Alaskan Husky, (YES! 2 huge huskies in his house) and 2 Jack Russell Terriers.... heres a picture of GG and BB... Superdog and Spiderdog!
