Starting afresh
In many ways, this has been the most eventful period of time in my entire 23+ years of life.
Breaking up: Enough said bout that, A mentally drained man needs no further stress from his ex gf who decides to reveal tonnes of hidden truths. Things that could have been said 1.5 years ago.
Shifting: Don't congratulate me on shifting into a condo. I would rather be in my cosy little apartment in Tokyo.
Re-marriage: Yippee?! My dad's getting re-married... (explains the above point)... went to the ceremony, but just couldn't bear to actually sit in at the actual ceremony.
Family Past: When shifting, it's only normal that u dig every corner of your old place. I look at my lego and books, my childhood. I decided to bring along some of the most precious stuff... Significant gifts from good friends, Old photos... among others.
It's fun digging out your dad's and mom's birth certs, (Theirs! not mine) Marriage cert, death cert. I realise my mom kept a good record of everything of mine since I attended PAP preschool in Toa Payoh 20 years ago. Everything from PAP, Pei Chun, TCHS, Hwa Chong were all nicely kept.
These were among the Class A stuff that I make sure I bring along to my new place, together with my mom's photo.
A shocking revealation while i was flipping some doctor's memo. People know that I'm the only child. I found out that I actually have a younger sister. Born 1.1.1986 2am, died 13.4.1986.
My aunts have hinted to me about this before, i also suspected something wrong through some old photos. But as always, official documents make it crystal clear. So i guess I might spend some time imagining how this 20 yr old sis of mine would be like.
I guess this mentally drained man really needs a holiday in OZ...and start with a clean slate when I get back
