Swing Girls

Watched Swing girls on dvd a couple of days back, it was a good show, so please catch it on singapore cinemas while it is still showing. It's the same old cliche story of high school students from zero to hero. Just like waterboys. But somehow these Japanese are getting good at hitting the right notes and using the right music. So cliche the story as it gets, it's still pretty entertaining. Apparently there was a swing girls phenomenon early this year, but it died down already. But jazz made an impact of being young stylish and trendy now. Apparently Swing Girls is not a Tokyo film cos' the actresses were speaking in Northeastern dialect, but I remember the teachers as regular actor and actress in Tokyo Dramas. As for the school girls, some of them are pretty cute!

Another earthquake last night. This time my room just shaked for 1 second. So that was magnitude 2...getting the hang of the magnitudes already.

Went to Shinjuku Gyoen today, just to catch some remaining sakuras, it's hard to imagine such a nice place in the middle of downtown Tokyo. It seems like Tokyo people like to alternate between hell and heaven though I gotta say that the hang around hell more often.

So today I sweated like hell on the subway cos' it was so crowded. Think I sweated more than the run on Sunday... what is this world coming to?

Anyway today we (my classmates and I) were joking that Japan is a queueing country cos' Tokyo is just so densely populated, think they don't really have much of a choice either to jump queue or cut queue or join the queue.haha

In Singapore, some people think I am mainland Chinese. In Korea, some people think that I am Japanese. In Japan, people think that I am Korean. So people don't want me in their country....But Shanshan don't worry, you are not the first one to say that. And I am pretty used to it too
